OK, guys. I've got a GSM Auto which is a GSM cell phone that responds to text messages and phone calls to turn on two relays. I used it to turn on my Tannis heater.
Included is the weather proof enclosure plus the wiring (a junction box and the like) to power two 110v standard plugs from the thing. Also since the thing was in my entirely metal hangar I've got an external cellphone antenna and length of cable.
The downside:
1. The box can't be closed up because I never drilled a hole in it for the antenna cable.
2. I lost the little rubber duck cell phone antenna so you're forced to use the external one.
3. I haven't used the thing in three years so I can't vouch if it works.
The upside:
It's free. All I ask is $20 to ship the thing USPS to you.
First person who asks gets it. Just cleaning out the hangar and didn't want to just throw this in the dumpster.
