Seriously? Wow. That's fantastic. Or does it have something to do with today's date (4/1/09)??????????
Hmm... looks like Jesse's going to have enough money for that plane after all...
Or it's an April Fool's joke.

Dear Sir:
The success of your recent capital-raising efforts have been brought to our attention, which fall outside the recently-enacted federal guidelines. Please note the following:
1. Your CEO may be forced to resign.
2. You may expect legislation that will impose a tax rate of 90% for this unjust enrichment.
3. The speaker of the house intends to introduce legislation to require that you provide similar servers to those less fortunate and to illigal immigrants.
Yours truly
Timothy Geithner
Secretary of the Treasury.

Since we raised over 28 times the request can we all, except for the anonymous corporate donor, receive a 2700% return on our investment and still get the new server
Now I encourage changing the goal to an amount which will cover everyone's out of pocket expenses. (at least)
The extra money is rerouted to the Pilots of America Management Council Slush Fund Account. We're eying Cancun as this year's PoA MC Annual Management Retreat.

What is the "1" between the green bar and the "Donate Now" link?
I don't believe in hiding financials..so here they are.where is the Donate Now link at all?
Please put it back, front and center. Users should have to trip over it until they send in a few pesos.
The numbers I heard, Jesse is still OUT OF POCKET almost a thousand bucks to provide this FREE service to us.
Til then, I believe you can send him $ via paypal at
jesse (insert "@" here) jesseangell DOT com
(I run a simple yahoochat and have a small idea of what it takes to run even that....I can't imagine all the stuff necessary to keep this up and running on a server.)
I don't believe in hiding financials..so here they are.
I have paid $2060 out of pocket towards Pilots of America hosting expenses.
Our recent fundraiser raised $1340.94. I spent $905.03 of that on our new server.
$435.91 has went towards re-paying me.
As of right now, I am out $1624.09.
I've received much pressure to re-enable the donation link and have done so. I DO NOT EXPECT TO BE RE-PAID. I have paid out of pocket because I believe in this site.
Keep in mind--this new server purchase will ELIMINATE our monthly expenses for the foreseeable future.

Nah, do it on Tuesday, while we're en route to KEYW, so I don't have to suffer through any outage! All of the parts for the server have arrived..
It is my goal to complete the following this weekend:
We'll see if we can get through all that before Monday
- Assemble the server
- Perform burn-in testing to ensure server is stable under load
- Install Linux and configure all the required software to run PoA
- Transport the server to Omaha to rackmount it
- Install server in data center
- Write scripts to perform automated backups
- Migrate PoA
