Lately the weather has been shaky around here. Pretty good wind gusts, and kind of cloudy.
This weekend however the weather is supposed to be pretty nice, so i am planning on doing some flying.
Grandpa and I already have plans to take the 182 up on Friday sometime during the day which will be great because it has been a while since i have flown it.
Then on Saturday, my girlfriend and I are thinking about flying down to Grand Lake Regional to eat for her birthday. (I told her it was going to be nice and although she isn't as interested in flying as me, she understands that if its nice we are probably going to go flying.) She definitely enjoys it too, but doesn't quite understand why I smile for the rest of the day once I get to go. haha

Just thought I would share,

Rudy, I went up this morning; it was pretty choppy...got above it for some acro over the farm and I'm off to wash the Citabria while it's so warm today.

Turkey Mountain has a restaurant next to the grass strip and there's even a little golf course there, too.

It's a pretty place to fly into. Maybe you and your grandpa could check it out on Friday. :)

That's a near idyllic looking airstrip !

Rudy;

Enjoy your flights. The girl friend as time goes on will appreciate your flying and of course your smile after you have been up. My wife loved to see me fly.

Have fun

John

I had to go to class this morning or I would have probably been doing the same, seemed like it might be a little choppy.

I have heard about that, I definitely want to check it out sometime, I don' think i would have any trouble getting in and out of there in the Cherokee. It would definitely be good to have Grandpa along of course.

Thanks John,
I definitely will enjoy my flights and she seems to be liking it more and more with every time that we go.

Let her fly a bit, Rudy (S&L at altitude)... that would be neat to get her interested.

Tried it, she will for a little while and then gets nervous. Maybe when she gets a little more comfortable with the whole thing.

I tried to use the "what if i pass out and you have to land it" she didn't buy it, but she shows interest anyway.
