11 days of flying, 41.2 hours, 4400+nm, and I haven't even added up the receipts for hotels and fuel yet. Believe it or not, it was VFR the whole time, with the exception of getting through a SCT layer in OKC because I wanted the cooler ride at 9500 instead of sweating at 5500 or lower.

Thanks to David Hunt, Micheal Driggs, and Dr. Bruce for the meals, hospitality, lodging and even 0.7 of night multi time! Thanks to the others that chipped in with advice.

I'm beat down dead tired. Now I get to start working on the CD. One question remains...when can I do it again?

Well done! Can't wait to see the pix!

welcome home Ed, Glad you stopped by. get some rest now and send us some pictures:)

Ed,

Glad to hear that your trip was safe and successful. Wow...that's a lot of flying isn't it? With the number of pictures you were taking (like 100 day) are we looking at the Ed Fred's Excellent Adventure Box Set? ;)

Now for your next act...

Come on back anytime.

GReat! Can't wait for the pictures and story!

Hey Ed, glad you had a great trip! Sorry you couldn't make it to PTS or Twin Oaks this time around. We'll try again when you're back this way.

Great writing, Ed. Thanks for taking the time to tell us what the experience was like!

That was an awesome story. Helped me kill an hour or so at work reading and living vicariously through your adventures.

Sounds like a great trip.

Ed: That is so Awesome!!! Good on you for taking this trip. I poped in to your "Flight Bag" and was honored to see your home page photo is the one I took of you at the Fly-B-Q at KLOM in may. Will you post any photos on the website or are you limiting it to the CD. I can't wait to read about the adventure. It will be my weekend reading.

Edfred,

When you were that close, why didn't you fly by Devil's Tower. It's 40nm from Gillette to DT and you flew between them.

On our return from Sheridan, we flew over Gillette and Newcastle and could easily see DT from just east of Gillette.

I've got something on the order of 900 pictures. I will be doing it on CD. When I get it all done I'll post information about getting a copy of the CD.
