Good luck with that sister. Our society is based on a hierarchy of who can take greater advantage over whom, and our default techniques are overbearing presence and violence. Since physical violence is unavailable verbal assault becomes the default technique. All of life is a competition, all of society, because that is the way we perceive and treat it; it isn't necessary, but it's the only thing we know, and what we fear most of all is change, because change introduces the unknown. That it is a pilot forum and most all the personalities are type A and operating free of the threat of physical repercussions of their interactions. A sharp sociology student could pull a good doctoral dissertation out of this forum, probably more than one. All this forum is is a representative polling of quite a large cross section of people from all sorts of back grounds and economic positions. It's our society in a microcosm, and what you see reflects who we are and how we actually think of ourselves and each other. And the result is we are mean, selfish, stupid, and egotistical. We don't like that fact, so we'll try to hide that it exists. The effort will fail, but that goe to the norm in our society as well. We keep doing the same things to fix the same problems expecting a different result each time. That's a classic example of stupidity, and we fail to recognize t for what it is. Therefor we'll repeat it again.
