I have had a diabetic crew on boat OD his insulin (thought a food had sugar when it didn't) and go down on me.

With that outcome is it safe to assume he will always be a part of your crew?

I hope Henning at least took him out for a nice dinner...

I think there would be less strategizing to "beat the medical" if the medical screening process had a closer relationship with the real risks of flying.

+1. I'd rather fly with someone with a deep interest in aviation and mild ADHD who had demonstrably good ADM skills, than an otherwise "healthy" specimen who likes to do illegal low-level aerobatics in their (...choose a stereotypical aircraft type). Same goes for the arrogant-but-medically-legal types who fly single engine FIKI airplanes into areas of known freezing rain.
