F22 at Farborough

Wow - the go-fast yank-n-bank is always cool, but the slow flight and "odd" maneuvers are just plain amazing...
 
Yeah, the F22 demonstration is awesome. Saw it at OSH the last two years and I can't wait to see it again this year. I often wonder just how much of the time the wing is stalled and it's all thrust keeping things in the air.
 
So how much taxpayer money was wasted at this air show? :D

Still, it's quite beautiful. I've loved the F-22 ever since they announced it. Absolutely amazing aircraft. :yes:
 
Heh...I'd like to see how long it would take me to burn that much gas in the Arrow. I sure prefer this type of taxpayer money spent/wasted than sooooo many other forms...but let's not get into that, talking about the F22 and/or airplanes is way better
 
I alternated between 'something is going to come off (the airplane)' -those flying surfaces are not very thick! and 'its going to plunge downward now' -nothing that a little thrust can't fix! when watching.
How many F22s are ordered and what will they take the place of?
I wonder what the F35 will be like.
