I don't knowDidn't we have a troll here about a year-and-a-half ago that started with this exact same question?
Agreed! that pavement is almost as hot as the beach!!
Yes.If I have an engine failure and I decided to take a road as te best field to land. Do I have to land with the direction of the traffic or opposite direction of the traffic?
Those crosswind freeway landings are just the worst.Ignore all the prior posts. You should know the most important thing is landing into the wind. Damn the traffic direction.
Don't they teach anything useful in ground school any more?
Well, if ya had one them thar flying cars I suppose they could give you a ticket for driving the wrong wayIf I have an engine failure and I decided to take a road as te best field to land. Do I have to land with the direction of the traffic or opposite direction of the traffic?
If you land over 65mph (here in California) can you get a ticket for speeding? Hmmm...
Isn't the 5 a 70 mph limit down there? It is up here.
I used to buzz by cops on the freeways doing a calm California 80mph and not even get a side eye
Nope. 65. One of the freeways on the way to Vegas is 70. I mean... It's THE freeway but I forget which number it is. Maybe the 10?Isn't the 5 a 70 mph limit down there? It is up here.
Often in rapid succession. The general traffic flow on the freeways is either 80 mph, or 2 mph.
Well if you hit it just right....it shouldn't be a problem.Nope. 65. One of the freeways on the way to Vegas is 70. I mean... It's THE freeway but I forget which number it is. Maybe the 10?

Yep. You win. I don't drive to either, so my recollection is lacking. Now if you want to talk Los Angeles area freeways, I've spent the equivalent of days parked on each of em.The 15 goes to Vegas, and the 10 goes to Phoenix, as I recall?
and so it depends.....on your destination? The 15 goes to Vegas, and the 10 goes to Phoenix, as I recall?
