Drs (Cdn) want airlines to ban pets

Canada has an incredible ammount of control freaks trying to impose crap on the general populace.

Hmmm... A service animal and a person allergic to that particular type of animal are booked on the same flight. Who wins?

Peanuts lose every time these days. I've been on a couple Southwest flights where they wouldn't serve them to anyone because someone had a peanut allergy.

What happens if you had already had on board your own bag of peanuts? Seriously, I often have a bag of trail mix with the peanuts of death in them.

As long as they don't have honey capsules with the trail mix, because, unless you put them in a 1QT bag, the plane may blow up!:hairraise:

Don't look now, but.....

there are folks here in the States that want to ban peanuts from flights. And some airlines already ban Durian Fruits. :dunno:

You already cannot have them on public transport in Singapore.

I got caught in traffic behind a truck full of them... There's a very good reason they they are banned from the train and bus lol. That driver would be giving a ride to one passenger and his fruit... Singapore though is a premier example of control gone to extremes.

Now almost any critter can be a service animal.

Monkeys for quadriplegia, goats for muscular dystrophy and parrots for psychosis? And cats, ferrets, pigs and ducks? For anxiety. Don't forget the guide miniature horses.

No longer true, at least in the US. The DoJ recently went through a rulemaking process that changed regulations and only dogs and one certain kind of miniature horse can be a qualified (I forget the buzz term) service animal.

One can use anything they want on their own but they won't receive the protections of the ADA unless it qualifies.
