I have a buddy who is having difficulty scheduling his PPL check ride in Farmingdale, NY (KFRG).
Any one know of any DPE's in the area?

Steve Campbell is very good. He usually has availability.

I fly out of Painted Post, NY (7N1). Haven't scheduled my check ride yet but my CFI is recommending either John Hrebeck out of Tricities, NY (CZG) or Ken Lindsey out of Rochester, NY (ROC).

I would be interested in how far out their availability is.

I recommend that the management council give you 1000 Brownie Points for posting both the city names AND identifiers.

It seems to be a problem everywhere. I am trying to get a commercial ride scheduled in northeast Ohio and the DPE is booked through October.

I agree 100%! I find it a pet peeve of mine when people post only airport identifiers when talking about an airport. Unless you’re from that part of the country you probably don’t know where BFE is. But I suppose it’s a pilot thing. We LOVE our acronyms.

KBFE is Brownfield, Texas and I still don’t know where that is. “Closest” city is Lubbock, the general area is west central Texas. I’m sure they get a lot of fun out the abbreviation.

Welcome to the dysfunctional system of FAA delegations.
