Yep. I was visiting family in Myrtle Beach through yesterday. Day in and day out the temp stayed only about 4F warmer than Coeur d’Alene, and were actually north of Quebec City there
Myrtle has an overnight snow forecast of up to 10” tonight; if that actually materializes it will be well more than the total amount we’ve seen in North Idaho this year.

Based on the oil platforms out there, I assumed it was the Gulf of Texaco....

Easy enough for even skeptics to check. Download the daily high and low temperature for your area over a year. Note how often a new high temperature is reached, vs. a new low.

Since 1885, south Texas has recorded an ice/snow event on average once every four to seven years.
I recall back to back years I was stationed at Tyndall then Eglin when there were light dustings of snow.
