Yup, my bad2 comms, both with standby frequency displayed. Like most planes are equipped.
I had a strange day in the Cub.
Obviously fooling around while taxiing, then had carb ice at least twice. I had to put the carb heat on every 15 minutes to keep from freezing up.
And the visibility: It didn't matter what direction you turned, forward visibility was bad, but down and to the sides it was 5+ miles. Totally still air and no bumps at all
I really good day...
Does going negative "G"s affect it at all?Goofing around today with new G-meter. I call this a kinda-sorta-half-barrel-roll-wingover thingy. Trying to convince myself the little VW, single magneto, no starter engine won't quit when I pull to vertical.
I've gone -1.0 for a few seconds, no problem. Its a Zenith carb, and I use an electric boost pump. But, VWs motors are known to not windmill if the engine quits inflight. So, I'm being very cautious as I experiment with anything more than rolls.Does going negative "G"s affect it at all?
That is a rough runway for paved. A lot of bouncing during that fast taxi.I had a strange day in the Cub.

Took these two on my flight today! Went to KOQU( Quonset Rhode Island) and much to my surprise when I landed I saw what looked like Air Force 1! I asked the tower if it was( sort of knew it was not) and they confirmed it was not. Are there a few versions of Air Force 1’s?

Yep....If he was in a 172....that would be Air Force OneAir Force One is whatever plane the president is on at the time. If he was on that plane it would have been Air Force One.

Nice Wikipedia find.Executive One is the call sign designated[1] for any United States civil aircraft when the President of the United States is on board. Typically, the President flies in military aircraft that are under the command of the Presidential Airlift Group, which include Air Force One, Marine One, Navy One, and others.
If you are ever in Marathon FL check out the EAA Museum right on the airport
