And the cookie cook off begins!

Mine just came out of the oven and they smell sooo good!

I just decided that I'm charging a six cookie rental fee for the use of my 396. Payable BEFORE said use. :)

We already have the 396! ;)

I make cookies a lot, remind jess and I'll send him to work with some sometime.

oven just warmed up. first batch is on its way in!

Geez, talking about power of suggestion. Ya made me hungry so I heated up the oven, made some cookies too and,,,,,,,,,,,, I put the milk in the freezer so it will be nice and cold.:smilewinkgrin::D MMMMMMM.

Then how did you know they were done?

You should hear the noise when I make a steak Alton Brown's way, high speed hood or not.

Love me some cookies!

ive got a gallon ice cream pail full of cookies, plus another small tupperware. hopefully those will last past friday morning.

This thread is making me hungry. Her Majesty(former wife - divorced for over 25 years) has been here for almost three weeks, returning to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday. Upstairs I think I own stock in Glad© food containers waiting to be put into the freezer. There's enough of the world's best chili, plus equal amounts of lobster macaroni & cheese to feed the 3rd Infantry. Those should last the remainder of June plus July before she returns to visit for the month of August(if we're still speaking come Sunday).

Now I really can't wait to get to Gastons... Ted made me get up early, be to IPT at 7:30. UGH

That stuff sounds mighty good! As soon as I'm off these crutches and cleared to fly Mary and I will be heading up to Stonington for 4 days of R&R (:fcross: July). I'm sure a day stop at KIWI is in order.:)

Not going to gastons this year,.... :frown3:

But I'm making sugar cookies with my girls here at home tonight and watching everyone make the trek on flightaware!

Be sure to give me the heads up when you'll be hitting this area.

With Stonington in mind, did you hear that Linda Greenlaw(from Isle Au Haut) -- she being the celebrated author and the basis for the movie "The Perfect Storm" -- just got fined $30,000.00 and the value of her sword fish catch because her boat strayed into Canadian waters? Most likely, it was an inadvertent drift factor but the Canadian legal system didn't see it that way and found her guilty.

I have to say Kathleen is vindicated ref cookie problem last year. We did several experiments last night on the same oven - and it definitely has a serious problem...cookies I have made for decades just wouldn't, last night. :(
Jesse did make a breakthrough with the confounded device and we salvaged a few.
Teresa Whistman's were great!

These will be at the flight line later, after the weather moves through. Have a beer handy. These are Larry's Diablo Cheese Cookies. He used to make them with jalepenos, this batch is made with sharp cheddar and red-pepper flakes.

All the cookies were great thanks all.

troy! those spicy cheddar cookies were HOT!

Note to self next time read label before eating cookie.
I found after eating a spicy cheddar cookies. First time I ever eat a Hot cookie

I saw a great looking batch with chololate on top, but they disappeared at a rate that locusts would envy. About that time somebody took a bit of a cheddar and did it little tip-toe dance around the table. Interesting to watch a guy try to hoo-hoo-hot with his mouth full.

I don't know why...those weren't all that hot. They were, however, yummy. Care to pass along the recipe?

well, im a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff.
Yeah, typical Iowa tastebuds. The thing I miss most about food living in Minnesota is that people around here think an Angry Whopper is really spicy. Me, I think it should be renamed the Miffed Whopper.

I can't believe you guys didn't eat all the cookies! I had to go home with half a container full and there were even Tony cookies left over. Although I did make two kinds; chocolate covered cherry cookies which were gone in about 45 minutes and regular chocolate chip. Both were drizzled with chocolate. Hope whoever did get to try them found them to be the definition of a perfect cookie.

Everyone's cookies were excellent however I didnt get to try the spicy cheese ones, oh well. BTW who ever made the home made salsa for the chips, that was delicious!

I would have had some of those drizzle choco ones, Tristan, but I never saw them.:frown3:

I wasn't there, but if I had been and had known about those cookies my plane might have been over gross when it was time to leave. I have no self control around chocolate chip cookies. None. And my wife will attest to that.

All of the cookies that I ate this year were yummy.

You could have sent them with me!!!!

I saw a container on the flightline sunday moring with three of Tony's cookies in it.

Nope I didn't want any cookie soup.

Those were AWESOME! I want the recipe too. As a native Wisconsinite, I wholeheartedly approve of yet another method of eating cheese. Cheese cookies!!! Why didn't I think of that???

Yep I brought mine in before the storm. Tony's cookies are good but cookie soup isn't.

I'll get the cheese cookie recipe from Larry and post it later. Then you can go find a treadmill and a heart doctor.
