I've been trying to get pics of this plane for a long time. Seemed like it would never work out. Even on this day, blue skies were predicted, but as the sun was getting low and we were running out of time, it was hidden by dark clouds.
And then... I saw downtown Austin lighting up in the background. I saw Bob's propellor start to light up in that perfect golden light! I get so excited when that happens, especially when we're not sure it's going to happen. I'm sure my photo pilot gets tired of me celebrating like I just won the SuperBowl, but oh well!
Bob was having radio issues, so sometimes we lost communication with him. Because of that, we kept it simple. No breakaways, no head-on shots, etc. Hope you still enjoy them!
