Final Approach
Barb and I are thinking about flying down to Cedar Mills, TX for lunch this Sunday. Anyone want to join us? If Barb can't make it, I may just fly down by myself.

Local lunch committee remains on red alert.
Diana: I just got the latest issue of "Flight Training" yesterday. Congrats on being the featured aviator (or aviatrix). Thank you for all you do to promote aviation.
I'm sorry you can't join us. Have you been able to attend the fly-ins up your way?Texas is too far for me in a 150. Enjoy lunch.
It would be great to see you both again. Don't know about time, but will likely be after 12:00. We might stop for fuel on the way down. Barb may fly her airplane too...we're still fuzzy on the logistics of that. What time? The Redhead and I just might attend.
Sorry you can't come. Thanks for the bird alert. That'd be fun. Too bad I can't land OU's planes on grass and I already built up my XC time for this semester (and renting from the city is now on my own dime...yikes!).
Watch out for Fowl near the Tishomingo wildlife refuge, there were birds (or flocks of birds) that were big enough to show up on radar!
Diana: Check out GLE (Gainesville) and Sherman for fuel; the later is usually cheapest. Sherman is right at the bottom of Lake Texoma. I'd offer to come, but the P-Baron wouldn't do well there.
Best,
Dave

Maybe. I would actually like to fly the P-Baron this weekend; detecting some rust in knuckles, ankles and other areas used to fly, but not much on the ground. If I can work out both, that would be great.
Best,
Dave
Thank you so much Stacey. I appreciate your comments.
Here is a thread where I posted about taking the professional photographer flying after our photo session. He was a lot of fun and a cool guy. Hopefully he will come back to see us again.
Kate, the author of the article was a pleasure to visit with...she is bright and positive.
Are you coming to Gaston's next year?
The 180 will be tail-dragging that way too.
Yeah, and they're legal. I'll bring them along as ballast.Shoot, I may just have to huff it up there. Do you have two chutes?
We need to depart Cedar Mills by 2:00 to get home by dark.
Absolutely. Always.diana, did i inspire you?
The trees have grown since you were there. Spike Cutler said he took this picture as he was turning base to final. He was over the lake, looking towards the runway.

Nice picks, Wayne, and funny on the second photo.
Who was your passenger, Spike? Dave S.?
These are two pictures of Spike's landing. One as witnessed by the onlookers, one as he later described it at lunch.
