I ordered a set brake pads from Aircraft Spruce in early November 2023…
Anyone know why these are taking so long to ship? What’s causing the shortage?

I've had no problem getting common Cleveland brake parts.

China. Supply chains are still having issues, china has been slow to recover , their economy has slowed

i waited 8 months for a tube

Have you called ACS? They should be able to tell you what's going on. If you don't like the answer, cancel the order and switch to another supplier. ACS isn't the only game in town so there's a decent chance someone else has them in stock unless they are really unique.

The wiseass in me would say “Maybe they issued a stop shipment”, but I won’t do that.

Supply chain issues in aircraft parts are certainly more prevalent nowadays. One reason why I try to anticipate the need for wear items (brake linings), routine servicing items (oil and filters), and even hardware. I keep a good supply in the hangar, and reorder to replace used stock. I even have a spare starter on the shelf. I do have some bucks tied up in stock, but I usually don't have to wait AOG for the supply chain to cough up a part.

Thanks.
I'm cancelling and ordering Cleveland
