Flying up for the July 4 celebration. I see 2015 post about the best airports for GA. Any tips would be appreciated. BED is close to where we need to be gut fuel looks pricey.

Not sure what 2015 post you are referring to, but nothing much has changed around here since 2015.

Just spent a few days in Boston. Flew into Norwood KOWD. Highly recommend. Boston Executive specifically. Most reasonable around for sure, and easy Uber to downtown.

OWD is one of my favorite places to go into. BVY is a disaster in my opinion, which is a shame because I have relatives in that area (Lynn, Salem, Peabody....).

OWD is a good option for GA near BOS easy in and out fees and fuel aren't nuts for the area. BED is good too just more expensive. Not sure how far from the city you want to be, but PYM is on what us locals call the south shore and really isn't a brutal trip into the city (depending on traffic)

When drawing up future trips PYM is where I usually picture going. But we have family that live near there. And I lived in Quincy and Weymouth when I was a kid so we're partial to that side of the city.

OWD would be my recommendation, access to commuter rail. BED is a mass port airport ,with high fees ,don’t forget your prop lock.

BED, check your overnight tie down expense. Bring Prop Chain and padlock. Expect to need a padlock on your chain tail tie down. Expect to be escorted to/from your aircraft.

Check Beverly (KBVY), Lawrence (KLWM) and Norwood (KOWD) for options. BED is a busy corporate jet airport.

Depending on where you want to go from the airport... Nashua might be an option (just be aware of the rush hour traffic jams on route 3 north of Bedford, MA)

Marshfield.. KGHG stay local or in North Scituate or Cohassett, and take the train in - you'll thank me later. Boston traffic is a mess of a problem, and I live in Los Angeles.

Mentioned before... Norwood... KOWD, can't speak to it.

I’m planning the same trip but later in July. i’m flying into KORH. It’s outside the adsb airspace since i don’t have adsb out. car rentals are plentiful and apparently they have customs on location so convenient for us coming from north of the border.

Just remember its "Wooostah tower..." not "Warchester tower..."

Agreed with OWD and the crew at Boston Executive are great.

Nashua is probably 5th on the list of airports id recommend if you're going to BOS.

When heading to Boston my bride and I use Norwood OWD. Great service, rental cars available a few steps inside the FBO (FLight Level) It was expensive to hangar but we never leave our plane outside overnight when traveling.

Do you go to the Beverly or Danvers side? I always go to Flight Level, on the Danvers side, and find them to be very friendly and helpful.
