Yeah, my guess is these were safe separation flight tests since there was footage from either chase planes or on-board cameras. What I can't figure out is why they had another aircraft in close formation in some of the shots, unless they were testing the effect of the wake from the other aircraft on the stores separation.
Some of them look like the pylon they were mounted on ejected, instead of dropping the weapon from the pylon rack.
Others.. the weapon balance was off.
And yes.. if being filmed.. most likely a weapons certification test flight.
I had a CBU do funny things in the bomb bay before exiting through the slip stream.. and another CBU that had the balance off and the tail feathers kept trying to lead.
