I never use my real birthday or year. I never disclose that info - nor enough of info that you can back into any other information online about it to hack passwords and important key information.
you know those mothers maiden name and other password recovery data and identity proof sources?
I use the same identifier for all of them - not real secure - unless its an 8 letter number random sequence. They don't 'check' those answers.
If its a web site that only gives you select choices [ like favorite ice cream flavor or pre-selected sports teams] then I don't play/.
Security is important - but - hell - my ID is now readily available given the Experian hack - so whats the point? Freeze your credit on all three reporters and move on.
