Assigned Holding Pattern

Yeah.
Only hold I ever got assigned was in clear, sunshiney air about 15 minutes out from my destination, which was below minimums. Was told to "hold as published" at the fix, and I was damned if I could find the hold published in any of the voluminous materials I was toting, so I asked, "hold southwest, ten-mile legs OK?" and he said it was.
Twice around and the ceiling had lifted enough for the field to start accepting approaches, and by the time I got there, it was broken and a grand or so. By the time the airplane was tied-down, it was clear.
