anyone used Kingschools Online for written test recently?

i am using Kingschool's online to prep for my written test. can anyone share their experience on how close or far they are from the actual test? there are like 1100 questions (with answer explanations) in there and my head is about to explode.
 
Used them for Instrument in the Spring. It's clear that the question bank had been changed/updated by FAA - but, and this will start a "discussion", King programs do tend to teach to knowledge of the material rather than just trying to get you through the test.
Relax, you'll do fine.
 
I took the Instrument written in July and got a 93%. Used King Schools. I got like a 97% on the PPL written and I used King Schools as well.
 
I used Kings Sport/Private Pilot Online Course. I first went through all the training chapters and videos then started on the 800 or so practice questions. Most of the questions you receive on the test are the same or close to the questions in the King course. However, if you don't know the material you may not pass the test. In addition to this I also used the free tests that Sporty's and others have available online. I received a 93% on the FAA Private Knowledge exam and am glad I got it out of the road as I am still in the process of getting a PPL. I am still referring back to the King course as I pursue the PPL.
 
thanks all. i did finish the actual course back in Feb and have managed to forgot just about everything, started answering the questions last night and clearly i suck at wx and w&B.. i will go thru the course again
 
know that info, and you won't have any problem passing your check ride
 
I used King for both my PPL and IFR even tough my PPL school included Gleim...both passed with flying colors and they are updated with the latest content. Could not recommend them enough.

96 on PPL but only 88 on IFR...but that 88 was just cuz I was pushing through it fast.

Best part is that I can still access all the classes online that I purchased to go back for refreshers.
 
I used the king schools program and got 100% on my written a few weeks ago. If you are doing good on your practice tests you won't have any troubles.

Edit.....just realized your probably talking about instrument.....I was working on ppl.

I just purchased the King online PPL written course as well. I am closing in on half way through. It does get a bit dry after awhile but its not them, its just the shear amount of material. My goal is to be through all of by early next week (goodbye weekend :(). My instructor started asking if I am ready (not quite yet!). I know he wanted the written to closely preceed the checkride so maybe its a sign he thinks I close to the end.

Actually a friend had given my his DVD version of his Sporty's course. Seemed decent but each disc would only play about the first half and no matter what player (DVD player or PC) they just locked up. Got sick of messing with it. The King content could be made to look a bit more modern but you gotta given them credit, they summarize each bit quite nicely.

Oh yeah @WannFly - do you get a kick out of the areas they use - just northwest of you a bit. My Grandpa's farm was near Cooperstown but under the MOA (but I didn't know it then). He and my uncle would kid about being out in the fields and these fighter jets would be flying down low in the Cheyenne river valley, right over their fields and then climb up really fast to intercept the B-52's flying above. A bit of excitement in a otherwise rather quiet place.
 
For what it is worth, ASA's online ground school sells pretty well....there must be perceived value there.

I used king to prep for every written from private to atp including the instructor ratings plus the A&P. Psssed them all on first attempt. Dry as crap and a really good sleep aid but they do a good job prepping for the test.

I got a kick when I saw devil's lake MOA in the question and another bunch of find lat long near this airport, most of which are surrounding the devil's lake. And here I thought no one cares about the Dakota's.... which is also probably very tue

Here's one for you. Supposedly a bit north of Cooperstown is a old missile solo that can now be toured. The airport is on the other side of town. I've been thinking of flying out there one day to try the tour and then also fly over the old homestead. Just not sure if little Cooperstown would have a cab.
