No, the BD 5 was going to run on a Honda engine with a pusher prop, or a pure jet, BD5-J.

This thing has a canard, a T tail, and also a mini fuselage tail. Lots of aerodynamic stuff involved there. Also, due to the pusher config it has short prop blades and a high gear. Note the sway when he touched down. Do not land with much x wind...

Bunch of cool planes in Europe & Australia that never really made it here. Speed Canard, Eagle 150 and the D4 Fascination to name a few. Had the pleasure of flying the D4 in Germany. Would have been a good two seat cross country cruiser in the US.

Isn't that the new Aeriks design? Aceair had a great little swiss plane, but closed because of that canceled Diamond engine.
