Congrats! Back at it again with the white Vans!
Was he sweating it? Or was it just hot?View attachment 63039
Haven't soloed a student since '89 when I went to the airlines. So here's Alex in a PA28-140 after flying his First Solo! Congrats Alex!
Wouldn't know, but he is an accounting major. They in style now?
Was he sweating it? Or was it just hot?
Congrats to you both! Which of you was more scared?
Honestly neither of us. He was prepared and is a very quick learner. His mother couldn't make it though. She got her PPC when she was 17, her dad a Naval Aviator.
And you didn’t post a pic of the mother? You’re slipping, Mark.....
She wasn't there, read it again!
And you couldn’t go to her home to get a pic or two? You’re letting us down...

You're closer to her house than me! She lives in Jax.
Oh yeah? I used to live in Jax. Maybe I’m your student’s daddy. What’s her name?
Lol don't know.
Congrats! Back at it again with the white Vans!
If she's a petite redhead named Rose, you've never heard of me....
What year is that Cherokee Mark?
Just shows how bad he wanted to get away from you Mark.
I've always considered 5 qts as minimum.'76, and just had the 160 hp conversion and a climb prop installed. Flys very well and climbs good.
Let me ask you something Tim. POH has nothing on min oil quantity, as well as the '69 Arrow's POH. Read somewhere it's 2 quarts. Been tellin students to go with 4 quarts. What ya think?

Was that you in the pic on Facebook?
My POH says 2 quarts minimum, but it sounds crazy to me, so like @BarryCooper i consider 5 minimum as well.'76, and just had the 160 hp conversion and a climb prop installed. Flys very well and climbs good.
