    How to ship something valuable?

To the extent possible, stuff should be packed to be thrown, or at least dropped. Your lead is just being dropped, over and over again by people that don't expect that small package to weight that much...

    How to ship something valuable?

Do you plan to use a shipping counter or some service like PirateShip / Shipstation / etc? Are you in a large package and in the dimensional weight category? Is the item fragile at all, or just valuable? Are you willing to lose it and settle for the insured value? I wouldn't falsify...

Imagine passing PPL short field landing on the spot you picked. And failing CPL short field on the spot you picked.

OP hasn’t been back since his posting. Probably super busy retraining and going over the acs

    Upgrade Help- VFR to IFR

If you pull the TKM, can't you also pull the standalone Nav RX? Seems like you get a more panel space back keeping the 300XL

Non Immigrant Training in US Part 61

https://fts.tsa.dhs.gov/home/help?view=c&tab=FAQS The CFIs and/or school are going to have to at least interact with the TSA system. I can see the attractiveness of them saying the visa isn't their problem because from their POV, they're primarily looking to assure they're compliant with the...

Breathe. We are all under a lot of pressure, all the time, in our lives. You can figure out the parts you didn't perform to ACS standard, take responsibility, and retrain for them. You've got 60 days. Be a pilot in command the next time.

FFS. I need a new hobby.

It's use or lose vacation time of year....good luck until mid-Jan...I have 3 days I really need to burn up, a medical appointment and a general winter malaise to deal with *laugh*

Does this operation require a commercial certificate?

If Members *pay* to be in the club and as part of those payments, get an opportunity to fly these flights...well, you can see my thinking this is the exact opposite of compensation. You are paying to be able to do it.

    Faking a safety pilot

Are you a problem solver? And is your “friend” a **** stirrer? Because this smells like someone messing with you. And that the someone probably is a drama magnet.

    Faking a safety pilot

Someone that just passes their IR in a flight school presumably needs to work on commercial and CFI. It doesn't take 6 months to get either of those and I'd hope they're both done before the ink is dry on the instrument ticket. If they can't afford to push that time frame, they can't afford to...

NA Convert a bulb outlet to an outlet outlet

How permanent do you want your solution to be? They sell wireless switches that can screw into your light bulb socket and they make Y-splitters to split that light bulb base into two bulb bases. You can split it, turn one into a 120V outlet, the other into the wireless switch base, leave your...

    Faking a safety pilot

Why is he "still" in a flight school if he's had an instrument rating long enough to need to maintain currency? Presumably in a flight school environment, plenty of folks would be willing to safety pilot and log the time themselves...

    IFR Routing Question

My checkride featured a destination with an approach that was significantly better in a lost comms situation than the other choices….

Portable Electric Air Conditioning from Peter Schiff

tangential question - would a portable battery like https://www.amerescosolar.com/simpliphi-phi-1-2-kwh-high-output-lithium-battery that has the energy (this example doesn't have a voltage match to the 12V plane) required to run the unit for ~1hr be cheaper than upgrading the alternator? It...

I'd let that slide. 304 rod or something else? I'd have stuck the tip coming around the corner to get under the threaded elbow.

    Electroluminescent panels

My involvement with the technology ended somewhere between some life cycle testing and the other engineer looking at sourcing the inverters. We ran continuous on/off cycles to test for dimming over a period of several months. It was part of my arduino runs everything phase that year….its...

FFS. I need a new hobby.

I was jealous of the top plate and glossed right over the welds. The last one I made was done with a man killer single speed drill and a giant hole saw. The handles on the sides of drill were galvanized pipe. It was terrifying to use.

    Electroluminescent panels

https://shop.lumilor.com/products/starter-kit-2oz This is the product I’m familiar with. Multilayer process but still more paint thickness than not. I’d probably pot spare electrical connections on a panel.

FFS. I need a new hobby.

I've gladly ponied up the $50/yr since Solidworks through the EAA became unfree. Export to STEP or STL, import into the slicer and print via Octoprint and done. The online authentication annoys me, but you can put it into offline mode for 30 days at a time. I'm bumbling along for simple work...

    Oversized bushing

I've read about the shimmy and balancing - was curious about the legalities of who gets to decide how oversize to make the hole, not as interested in the shimmy part.
