    Pounds vs. Gallons

I was talking to someone about fuel and its weight is 6 lb per gallon. Then I was wondering why does the military, commercial and others use pounds instead of gallons. Do they have load cells that send weight back to the cockpit? If not why add another step to ordering fuel. Thanks, Bob

Plow my roads or Ima gonna beat you up!

I agree with you as essential personnel but I am sure they were not. I am also essential personnel and I needed to operate a 55000+ lb truck through our town and I sure as heck don't want someone driving when they really don't need to. Not saying that the roads should not be cleared but they...

Plow my roads or Ima gonna beat you up!

That is to funny I wish you had it on camera but then they could prove you did it. We had that happen to us going to fire calls people/kids would throw rocks at us as we drove by this on spot. This was in the days we had open cab trucks.

Plow my roads or Ima gonna beat you up!

I am sure the area was in a state of emergency (like PA, NJ and DE) so no non essential vehicles should be on the road anyway. So why would you need your street.

    pet earmuffs?

I have the same problem with the Mutt Muffs sliding off. I flew with Colby (my Dog) about 11 times and only had them stay on one time. Now my dog is a little wild and does not like them on her so that's half of my battle. Ed has a good idea I am going to try that.

What made you say today is the day I learn to fly?

I was on the approach end of runway 9 across the highway (202) at a small pharmaceutical company doing a site acceptance test The planes keep landing over head so I asked the people I was working with how do I get to the airport. The next Sunday 3/25/01 I was in the air and .7 hr I was hooked.
