What would your last flight be?

I've been running the medical gauntlet since last spring when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I finally got my Medical back in January, only to be diagnosed the next day with type 2 diabetes and a lazy thyroid by my regular doctor at a follow up from a December physical. The diabetes is well...

    heating bills

Just got my bill for January. $135.00. It was a far colder month but I had reprogrammed both thermostats for lower temps. Best way to make a cold (68 degrees) house feel warm is to take a 2 mile walk in the 30 degree weather.

    Testing satelite cable

OK! I stopped by lowes on my way home and went to the electrical tools section. Standing looking at the multit testers, I saw a tone generator for 35 bucks that had all the hook ups for phone, eithernet, tv cable and wiring built in. The main part is also a cradle for the signal sensor. Being a...

    heating bills

NOrmally our January heating bill is around $125.00. This year it was $279.00. I've reprogrammed the downstairs thermostat to maintain 69 while we are at home and 60 at night and while we are away during the day. Up stairs is set to 69 and 65 respectivly. We'll see what the next bill looks like.

    Testing satelite cable

Well I need a new multitester anyway, and if tone generators aren't too expensive I'll add one to my tool box.

    Testing satelite cable

Thanks, I've done some crawling around in the attic and manual wire tracing and I can't see where this line ever comes into the garage, do it has to be one of the two outside lines. I'll test to see which one, then I need a 3 LNB dish attachment and some cable.

    Testing satelite cable

Hi folks, It's been awhile. I've been out of aviation due to medical problems but I'm working on getting back in the air. Anywho.... I need to determine where some tv cable goes in my house. It was pre-wired for cable/satellite tv but the one in the bonus room doesn't seem to have a...

    How teenagers think

They may be. I borrowed it from another forum where it was labeled "Deep Thoughts". But after reading paintball forums mainly populated buy teens for about a month it looked more like the thought logic I've been seeing there. :rollercoaster:

    How teenagers think

    1. If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let'em go, because, man, they're gone. 2. If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them own? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason." 3. To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks...

    N/A the 5 movie Q

I'll never forget the day my Dad went to see Patton. He served under him in the war and he come home fuming. Said he got up and walked out of the film because it was a the biggest load of crap he'd ever seen. Still, I enjoy watching it myself.

    [NA] Toyota Highlander Hybrid?

As a former suburban owner I thought I'd never be saing this but I like a Mazda. I had a 95 suburban K 1500 and loved it but it was a company truck (I was an owner) and we got strapped for cash and had to sell it. Making a long sotry short, the Volvo we had was jus too small and I started...

To Plasma or not to plasma

That might be a good move for me. All I need is a monitor. I Have directv as the tuner and run it through a Denon surround sound system. I'll have a peak at their site.

To Plasma or not to plasma

Good points. The RCA is an HD monitor, so all I need is the Directv HD box. Wait I just bought the tivo a few months ago. Well, maybe HD for Christmas. I've been real happy with my RCA that died. It can be fixed, I'm just not sure it's worth it.

To Plasma or not to plasma

My 10 year old 46" RCA projection TV toasted another power supply last night. It'll probably cost 3-400 bucks to fix it and I'm thinking of buying a new tv. I see that Circuit City has a 42" ESA EDTV monitor for 1399 (1499 with 100 rebate) It has pretty good reviews by people that have bought...

Speaking of BFRs - approaching my first - tips on prepping?

Well, it's not a pass fail thing. Usually you'll review maps and go over airspace regs. If you're IFR there will be some discussion of filing, and loss of communicationa and reviewing charts and approach plates. If you don't know something just say so and the instructor will go over it. Then in...
