    the little C-90

I was mostly going off Tom's 4th picture. In that picture it looks like the scuffing and wear pattern, etc is 'belled' in the middle of the stroke but also the cylinder is oval. I guess that is the difference between automotive or even lawnmower engines and that of aircraft engines. I'd just...

    the little C-90

Tom, are you saying rust caused the elongation (belled) of the cylinders? I don't understand that because that means the erosion of the walls was notable along one axis.

    the little C-90

Eccentric action of crank which induces wobble which induces transient thrust. Eccentricity caused by worn bearings rods? Sounds chaotic. Hence the name, rattle trap. :yikes:

    FREE - Bushnell binoculars

Bushnell Falcon 10 x 50 with carrying case. There is a problem but is easy fix. The knob for the central focus adjustment is connected to the center barrel by a bushing which looks to be press fit (interference fit) into the stationary barrel. This bushing is solid and looks to be made of pot...

    Prohibited airspace for past Presidents

I noticed on the VFR sectional as shown on AirNav that P-49 for Crawford, TX is still shown. So I went to another airspace of which I am familiar...the hills north of Santa Barbara, CA do not show a prohibition for Reagan's ranch. Except for perhaps AirNav hasn't updated their VFR chart (a...

Three persons have expressed interest in the models and at the same time. What to do? Looks like someone is going to lose out. Perhaps it would be fair that no person gets both models? Comments? PM me your zip so I can estimate the shipping cost.

    FIFI over Lake Texoma

Me too. Las week I was scrolling through old posts and I noticed it was less than 10 years between Dave's purchase of the P-Baron and purchase of the KA. Man, do I love a success story. Well done, Dave!

Brakes as safety items. Probably for the same thinking not all aircraft are required to have electrical systems.
