Emergency Vehicle V.S. School Bus / Kids - Who should yield?

I personally know of one fire truck driver who was ticketed for passing a stopped school bus, and another who was followed to the emergency scene and warned that he could be ticketed. Both in North Carolina, different counties, the second was a municipal fire truck driver and policeman.

4 drug test in 6 months....

I work in an industry which requires pre employment and random testing, although the requirements were not in place when I was hired 33 years ago. When the random testing program was started about 25 years ago, I was tested in the first week. At one point a coworker and I were tested in...

    Exactly how rough?

Just got home tonight, smooth at 5500, could see the Oak Island lighthouse flashing just after Fayetteville, about 10 knot tailwind, decent night landing. Overall excellent flight.

    Exactly how rough?

Just saw this, left Southport for Chapel Hill about 1100 today, smooth flight at 6500 to stay above the scattered layer. A little choppy getting into Chapel Hill. Needless to say, I didn't have a tailwind.

    "local" clubs, organizations, forums

Sent you a PM with contact information for a North/South Carolina group which has informal lunch gatherings every couple of months. Didn't want to post their personal e-mail in the open. Sometimes they meet at local fly-ins or just arrange to fly and meet for lunch somewhere.

Sanford to Cape Fear Regional, NC

I am based at KSUT, and I did pretty much the reverse of your flight. Left KSUT at about 1430, flew to Chapel Hill to return my daughter and a friend to UNC, then back to KSUT. Arrived back about 1715. Had to deviate east around a cell over Fayetteville on the way back, but it had probably...

Citabria - removal of aft stick

The aft stick in a 1973 7ECA was held in its socket by a 1/4" bolt. The stick boot could be pressed down to expose the bolt, and removal only required a couple of 7/16" wrenches.
