Don't know. What's the date of the most recent database you have? EDIT: I paid ~$250 for mine back in 2009. Updates were still available then, but I never bought one. Think mine has a mid 2008 database. Still useable but not reliable for airspace, freqs, identifiers and such.

Yeah, I made a gross generalization. There are clowns everywhere, just seems they are heavily concentrated in this area. I have met a good share of genuinely decent people since I've been around the Mid-Atlantic. Problem is, I've met a fair share of people like this guy, too.

I don't think it's so much the torque, but not tightening the lugs in the proper pattern. Just going in a circle is bad, or so I've been told. I've always just used the procedure recommended in the owner's manual, which seems to mostly be the "star" pattern. Haven't warped a rotor yet.

My vote would be FDK. Almost equal drive time with less hassle. Just remember, FDK has a tower now. Don't be "that guy".

I agree with the above. But a word of advice from experience, keep the "is this a surprise" attitude and comments to yourself. The ones who are grieving publicly will not appreciate that. I learned that the hard way a few years ago.
