It is dangerous to attempt a go around with throttle pulled back. Far safer if all approaches and landings are done with full power.

Looks like a major Frontier fiasco...

Try reading again.... OP has faux outrage against Frontier, as if bad weather in Chicago was a "fiasco" caused by Frontier, then attempted to degrade Frontier. And, I pointed out that the pax likely chose Frontier solely based on a savings, and, likely will do so again in the future.

40-degrees is now dangerous due to the glide path and angle of descent? "Benefit is more than offset by the risk"?

How to lose a customer, car dealership edition...

What does the average car salesman sell a month? (I thought 10 was a minimu, and stars would push 15+ out the door. ). Multiply that by the dozen guys standing around, and you could have 5-10-20 cars going out each day?? Easy to see them gone by the time you got there. And, doubt the real...

I am guessing the fact whatever your replies are that don't have text not showing up on TapaTalk means I am not missing anything of substance from you. Too bad you choose to disrupt other people's threads. Might try a different source of entertainment if this one causes you such discomfort.

Nope, just a couple of threads I have noticed that you seem intent on derailing, ending, or shutting down. Almost as if you have some insecurity that you struggle with. Been a long time since I took any sociology classes, but your behavior definitely has a pattern.

Ahhhh. There you go. Throw the trolling comment out. Try and discourage dialogue on forums. You might be better served in life if you disable your WIFI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AvCenter is a full service FBO. Fuel, Instruction, Charter, Maintenance. I may possibly know of an un-used hangar at KMAN, for you. As of right now, it has been empty for 2 months. Send me a PM. There is an Enterprise rental car office about 2 miles from the airport, for the rental car...

    Bought into a 182P

Remember how we got here... To paraphrase..... Somebody said to only use 20-degrees flaps in a 182, so you can do go-arounds. I suggested that I don't do many go-arounds outside of the training environment, and, I like to use the tools that the engineers at Cessna gave me, including those big...

I was just reporting back what his POH said. He appeared not to have known what the POH said, and asked me to read it. I read it, and, the only configuration that I could find for less than full flaps was Emergency, Ditching.

What town is your ultimate destination? Are you renting a car upon arrival? How long are you staying?

Nobody has said "not to do go arounds". I have just pointed out, that in my experience, go arounds exist in the training / checkride environment more than they do in the wild. In the wild, I will more likely find myself too high, too low, too fast, too slow, etc.... and make adjustments...

Install it or sell, is that the question?

Why would I be grounded? The plane is still airworthy.

Looks like a major Frontier fiasco...

I am not sure that is a "major Frontier fiasco", sounds more like "airline travelling during the holidays thru Chicago when bad weather happens". That pretty much happens every year. I would bet, the reason they chose to be on Frontier was somebody save $40/ticket on airfare. And, the same...

Install it or sell, is that the question?

I can't imagine, when the time comes, that avoiding a $1500-2500-3500-4500 expense is going to be worth the effort AND expense of selling my plane (yes, there is a "cost" to selling a plane, thru broker's, time, phone calls, scanning logs, whatever). When I choose to sell my plane, it won't be...
