    Plane financing

I'm not sure of the current loan rates, but say you have $100K to spend on the plane and can get a %5-6 loan. You can go to vanguard and get into their $50K minimum buy in funds, which all have gotten over %6 since inception. Or go to fidelity and look at their Health mutual funds, you can...

    Plane financing

What I don't understand is why people would buy a plane with their own money... take a note out on the plane....

What is it like to fly a Cirrus?

That's crazy! In 2009, I bought N48TG with 48 Hours total time. I had to do 10 hours with an instructor for insurance purposes. My yearly cost was $1736! After I put 150 hours in it, my insurance dropped to $1200 ish. I bought it for $160K and had the hull valued at $185K. Shop around...

That truly is one good looking plane! I cannot wait for it to get to market and to read what it can actually do.

    Halloween drunks

Your response it's typical and I counter with "Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience."

    Halloween drunks

It should not be considered murder if you kill a drunk driver! Actually, you should be rewarded.

AeroMobile - interesting flying car from Slovakia

How high is this ground effect you are talking about? Go to their website: http://www.aeromobil.com/ and play the video. Looks significantly higher than a wing span to me. I like the PAL-V, for about $50K and I would trade in my BMW for it!

    Ebola in New York now

There are 5 strains of Ebola, but 4 of them are transferable to human. Ebola can easily go from animal to human and back, except the 1 known strain. Another point is that bats and monkeys are known to carry ebola and are a delicacy in West Africa. Food for thought :-)

First time student - Cirrus sr22

What you want to do can easily be done. If you know you want a Cirrus SR 22, buy one. New or used, that's on you! But, while you are doing that, join COPA (Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association) and find a CFI that specializes in Cirrus. While it will cost more $$$ upfront, it will be cheaper...

    Ebola in New York now

Yes it does. We keep it in BSL4's. And yes, it is active bubonic plague.

    Ebola in New York now

No, I saying. Do you have Ebola in your Red Book? How about the plague, etc. yes, you are trained in what you see daily, it's what you don't see daily that you lack all training on!

    Ebola in New York now

I hope people realize that Dr's, Nurse's, etc are not taught HAZMAT! They have sharps containers and bio bags everywhere, but that is the norm! So yes, providers will be the first to get exposed.

Also, Henning we can knock out 27M people for you. This will help get the world back down to a sustainable number!

    Ebola in New York now

Screw quarantine, fire bombs all around! Let's just get it over with so all the doomsayers can finally have their day! Just like 1918, people will learn to self quarantine!!! Unfortunately, many could die before people get that smart!

    SR20

I didn't recall the exacts of your deal, but I remember you did very well. Even with your 172. I also like your new plane.... it makes me think of the piper more and more. Even the Saratoga is an option. I like the wider cabins than the beech aircraft.

    SR20

Kelvin, above, had a very nice 182, but if I remember correctly he paid significantly more than I did. I also remember him flying from New Orleans to Fayetteville non-stop. No way my families bladders could do that. I found 3.5 hours in the air to be max for us. Anything longer and bottles were...

    SR20

It all depends on the mission, flying at 17,500 in an unpressurized airplane is of no interest to me, watching my wife/kids suck oxygen is not worth the hassle. What happens if a tube falls out of kids nose, and you don't catch it, what does reduced oxygen to do their development? While, UPDT...
