Advice, please -- Whom Shall We Sue? (Non-Av)

All of my key card issues are self-induced: putting my key next to my cellphone, which has a powerful enough magnet in the speakerphone to mess with the flimsy mag stripe. Cheers, -Andrew

    Trusted Traveller/Global Entry

I am waiting to get my passport back from State, after which I'm enrolling. 45 minutes to get through line when I arrived off of a PVG-ORD flight; it was brutal.

    Where to relocate?

Bar Harbor is your airport. Live on the mainland or north/west of Bar Harbor proper if you want to find reasonable housing. (South of Bar Harbor is the "expensive" part of the area) There are lots of options on the coast of Maine if that is your thing. I would pick NE over the PNW, if only...

Need to replace the Vacuum "NA"

Same here, we've had ours for a decade and it is still going strong (save for a few simple home repairs due to hair binding a spindle or silly things). My guess is we'll replace it sometime in the next 4 years. I like that amortization schedule.

    Texan pizza eaters

... much like that Chicago "meat and tomato pie" they try and call pizza. Chicago has many gustatory delights, but nothing called "deep dish pizza" that even comes close to the grand Neapolitan ideal that is pizza. Or the Bolognese one. Or even the Ligurian one. Cheers, -Andrew

Air France A330 - Missing over Atantic

With all due respect, and I mean that in the sincerest of terms, I disagree. All taken from http://www.ntsb.gov/publictn/1999/AAR9901.pdf, the final report of the NTSB. Enumerated findings, emphasis mine: Given the NTSB factual report, how do you hold that the "rudder hardover theory...

Air France A330 - Missing over Atantic

To be clear wrt to the 737 "tail issues" : the issue wasn't structural, per se, in the way the purported A300 series Va tail issues were. The issue was with a failure condition of the nested rudder servos -- the 737 introduced a new servo design that nested the secondary in the primary casing...
