    CFIs Voice In Absentia

“Right Rudder. Right RUDDER. There you go...Ahhhhh, LIFT! Anytime we need more of something, it’s more than likely going to be Right Rudder.” John, if you’re reading this, I’ll call ya next week.

New Addition to the POA Fleet

    Thanks Mark. I’m pretty excited.

New Addition to the POA Fleet

I know, I’m already sitting on my hands to keep them away from my wallet.

New Addition to the POA Fleet

I finally pulled the trigger, and took delivery yesterday afternoon. It’s a 1978 Warrior II, not as fast as some, not as fancy as others, but it’s a solid airplane and I’m pretty sure it’ll get me through instrument training (with a little panel work) and will probably be my “affordable bird”...

    Digitized Aircraft Maintenance Logs?

You’re right Nate. The “cloud” covers a whole lotta real estate these days...I still kinda like backing up on my own gear. Thanks for the $50k offer on email though :) I’m actually decommissioning a vanity domain name this weekend, one of my bigger wastes of money.

    Digitized Aircraft Maintenance Logs?

This is probably where I’m heading; sounds like I better get busy :) Thanks guys!

    Digitized Aircraft Maintenance Logs?

This is definitely one of the options I wanted to look at. Even if you do your own, sounds like they have some benefits to using their cloud.

    Digitized Aircraft Maintenance Logs?

Wondering if anyone has gone through the process of digitizing their maintenance logs? Any recommendations for a service, or did you do it yourself? How are you managing updates?

Maybe some of you can use this thing I wrote (Kneeboard generator)

My CFI says that VFR cruising altitude is based on the planes heading

My CFI drove this one home on a morning flight with the sun directly in our eyes. I don’t remember the exact conversation but I remember responding “we’re under 3000 AGL, the rule doesn’t apply”, and he responded “yeah, but the other guy’s a good pilot and if he IS following the rule he’s gonna...

For Sale Battle Vision by Atomic Beam

Saw that one today, too. He was in the right seat of a cockpit the size of my living room before they cut away to a single-seat fighter on departure. Sadly, I thought it was the glasses that made such a thing possible, so I bought 3 pair. But hey...maybe I’ll get some use out of the free...

Best GA Access to Estes Park?

Thanks G-Man, if this all comes to pass I’d be happy to meet you for a beer.

How hard would it be to do this?

You are not ignorant, my friend. Not every dream turns into success, but if you never try you will never succeed. Good luck to you in whichever dreams you decide to pursue.

This joker is lucky to be alive!

“3 Windsocks. We’ll have to be pretty careful to stay between them all the way through roll-out. I hope they all stay pointed in the same direction...”

    Thank you very much!

Best GA Access to Estes Park?

We may fly out to Estes Park this summer to visit a nephew working at the YMCA there. I’m thinking KFNL as a destination airport (flying in from mid-Missouri) and then rent a car from Loveland to Estes Park. Rocky Mountain NP web site recommended Cheyenne, but that seems to be a bit more of a...

    My Vans RV conundrum.

I agree. And I think you’ve given the OP some great talking points to help with the wife’s objections.

    My Vans RV conundrum.

Happy wife, happy life. You clearly want the RV. Do you want it enough to rock that boat?
