How about a Piper Aztec? This is a big clunky, archaic airplane that is also reliable and easy to manage. It's like an enormous Cub. ATC will assume you are a grizzled freight dog and treat you with great respect.

I installed Garmin Pilot 4.1.2 and it seems to be a benign update. The Lollipop of Doom remains at bay, perhaps to be OTAed again only when it actually works. Life is good.

The OTA Lollipop announcement was pushed to my tablet last week. I did not download it, and , in a few days, the announcement went away. I suspect that Google decided to hold off a bit. Good move.

The good new is that a few days after I ignored Google's effort to foist this so-called "upgrade" on me, the little nagging message in the upper left corner of the screen vanished. Garmin Pilot continues to work flawlessly for me. I have no reason to be disappointed.
