I fly because I hate driving. My wife was nervous on our first few flights together, loves it now, and is a big help with radios, etc. War Damn!!

I went ahead with the RTV, got the thing as air tight as it's gonna get. The gap behind the spinner puzzles me though. How in the world can you seal that up?

I'm still having trouble with my temps, and called Continental's mechanic for some help. He's telling me to take some RTV, and seal up between the cylinders and the baffle forms. I'm hesitant. Anyone done this before?

Agreed. There could be an O-ring bad in there also, which might be causing you to not get the "suck" when priming, hence no fuel stains in cowling. Make sure you are giving it about 2 seconds after pulling the primer each time to fill up before pushing it back in. On 182J, I use 2 shots primer...

Denverpilot is exactly right, fuel selector won't stop cross flow. On same note, filling up might take quite a while because they are constantly flowing from one tank to the other. After you fill the first side, and by the time you have moved to the other, a few gallons have already drained out...

Does anyone know how much material it takes to do a C182? The genius that installed my windows used silicone, and it didn't adhere to the windows. Now its peeling off and whistling, and probably soon to be flooding my new panel.

I have a EDM 930, but the #4 cylinder has been normal. The #2, however, has been hot from the get go. Could an induction leak down the line be causing this?? I mentioned the problems I've had with the #2 cylinder in the original correspondence with Air Power, and they told me to check...
