No, my wife wouldn't have appreciated that! And based on the mother's looks... well... The best part for me was watching her poor husband. She looked at him and said, "He says his plane is a 1946. Can you believe that? It's a brand new plane." Poor guy just shrugged and smiled at me.
It's not too bad if you keep it up. Get behind on it and it really sucks. Been helping a friend of mine get his 170 polished back to life. I'm beginning to rethink our friendship!

I've been threatening to sell it for the last four years, but it's hard to beat for efficiency and good looks! I need an open-cockpit biplane, or a 170, or Pitts, etc.Gorgeous! I wish that plane was in my hangar

Thank you. I honestly think it's easier to keep a polished plane looking good. Once I start polishing and see the results it's hard to stop. My painted wings don't get enough attention from me!
No polished airplane wants to meet me in a dark alley! I keep them in line.

Thank you! That's the photographer in me. Landed before storms were rolling in, but yet took the time to get a few photos before putting the plane away!
Hard to believe she's 70, going to be 71 this year! Flies like a new plane and gets a lot of attention everywhere we go. I even had a lady argue with me about the age once. She decided I was a rich pilot who should meet her daughter... I mean really, I was flying a brand new plane!
Thanks. I sure miss that plane. It got a lot of attention and I took a lot of kids up for their first airplane rides in it. Not to mention 5 GPH or less!
