    Fuel pump or circuit breaker?

Seems like you knocked off a little corrosion by cycling the switch/cb. Use some electrical contact cleaner. I am a a&p.

    Insurance for a new AP

I just went through this. Insurance companies have a minimum cost, regardless of how small the operation. It is $6,000 a year. I tried every avenue and 6,000 is the absolute lowest quote I got. The a&p on the airport is a rip off, people use him once and never again and the airport manager is...

    Corporate Pilots

I had a corporate guy look down his nose at my straight tail 182 in St Thomas. He then starts going on about the jet he's flying. I said that's nice but my 182 goes where I want it to not where my boss tells me to go. I then asked him if his boss made him wear a chauffeur hat. That shut him up.

Is there anyway to visually distinguish a Cessna 172 and 182?

My straight tail 182A had no cowl flaps.

My 80-year-young Dad lands a B787 at KDAL

I was a mechanic a Braniff, DFW, until they shut down in the middle of my shift, May 12, 1982. They still owe me money! But it was the best airline job I ever had, went to the dark side (AA) it just wasn't as much fun.

WSJ editorial in favor of private ATC

People that think the airlines want it private for "modernization" should stick their head into a 20 year old airline airplane cockpit and see how interested they are in modernization of their equipment. They scream bloody murder when they have to spend another dime on equipment. The airlines...

Should All Certified Airplane Default to the Experimental Category After 20 Years?

Imagine all the stuff that would be built by people who don't have a clue about what they're doing. Want to save some money? Get a airplane built by monkeys, they work for bananas.

Should All Certified Airplane Default to the Experimental Category After 20 Years?

I hazard a guess, maybe because they are certified?

    Which RV to Build....

The rocket is the way to go, they tell you what parts to delete when buying a 4 kit. But I think vans quit selling the 4. The point i was making is that there is no point installing more engine that can be used. The rocket is more than a "wee" bit different.

    Non certified equipment in aircraft

Airplanes have windows. I'm done. You guys can argue this without me.

    Non certified equipment in aircraft

Now if it was ok to install that device in a certified aircraft do you think MGL would make a point of saying that it is for experimental aircraft only, not to be installed in certified aircraft? Unless someone got a field approval for it, it is a violation waiting to be noticed. If you're lucky...

    Non certified equipment in aircraft

Well you have your answer including some from people that admit they don't actually have any knowledge of the regulations.

Somewhat useful is what you'll get on VAF. There's a lot of internet experts there too.

    Which RV to Build....

There's no point putting on a engine that makes the airplane exceed Vne. It's just a waste of money and extra weight. I only put a IO 360 on my RV 7 because I had one laying around.
