[NA] Hiring King Air 300 (or similiar) Pilots!

I was referring to people who only have 1000 hours total time. I think less than 10 people have 300 hours PIC in a 300 series king air and only 1000 hours total time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

[NA] Hiring King Air 300 (or similiar) Pilots!

Besides people in the military, there are maybe 10 people who have 300 hours PIC in 300 series King Airs with 1000 hour Total Time... And I'd bet 9 of them wipe with hundred dollar bills.

“Descent requires before waypoint” on foreflight?

Ya. I can do the math, but when there is a handful of them going into an airport that in LA with a jet that only has a 430 in it, it would be really nice to have the $200 a year flight calculator I carry around do that basic math for me. And it could keep doing the math for changing air speeds...

“Descent requires before waypoint” on foreflight?

It doesn’t make any sense they have descent required to destination but don’t have descent required to next waypoint. There is even a place to put you altitude at the waypoint. I wonder why they don’t add this functionality. Do any other programs do this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

Using autopilot in the Tesla is about as exhausting as watching Netflix. You look out the window and every once in a while you have to interact with it to put a different show on or let it know you are still there. When the road gets weird, like construction, you pay a little more attention and...

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

My model 3 cost me just over $50k out the door. It’s a 4.4 0-60 car and runs me $7 to drive 300 miles. Access to fast charger that add 180 miles of range in the time it takes me to take a **** and wait in line for a candy bar, has Two motors (AWD) and requires very little Maintaince (tire...

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

But that rules they are using to avoid the taxes are made by them, and for them. End of the day, I was given $7500 from the feds in tax incentives. $2500 from the state in the form of a check and $3000 in the form of a check from my county to drive a car that is better in every metric...

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

All the oil subsidies are masked as tax breaks. Things like getting to write off drilling costs and reduced rates on royalties. But that’s all the federal tax credit is anyway, a tax break. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

Did you know the oil industry gets in the neighborhood of 14 billion a year in subsidies? To say electric vehicles should get no subsidies and while a large percentage of the cost of an ice car is subsidized is sort of hypocritical People like to point out the ev subsidies because the money...

Tesla Model 3 - Now I get the hype.

I literally saved $20k in aviation related expenses the first year owning my Dual motor 3. Have made dozens of trips were driving wouldn’t even have been a consideration. Bay Area to Washington a few times, Bay to Reno, Tahoe, Scottsdale, multiple trips to LA, lost count of all the trips to and...

    Auto fill airways on foreflight?

When I am on Skyvector.com I can rubber band vor to vor and the airway fills in automatically between it. example: I plug in CVV and OLM into sky vector v165 automatically fills in. On foreflight it just goes vor to vor.

    Volunteer Private Pilot

This happened to me a few years back for the World Series. End of game 6 a friend calls “hey do you want to go to game 7, I’ll cover tickets and expenses while we are there, you get us there”. The flying part was implied because we all had to be back to work at 7am the next morning. To me...

    Volunteer Private Pilot

I had a buddy that liked to fly with me back before he got his ppl. He was starting a company at the time and was constantly needing to go across the state. I told him I couldn’t. Then one day he said he wanted to hire me as a consultant, “we usually drive down to San Diego unless you have a...

KSBA departure- what are you going to do?

No, I turned direct to destination (NW) as soon as they would let me. The GTN suggested one turns right at FLOUT. Not sure what the reasoning is.

KSBA departure- what are you going to do?

It didn’t happen. I was just looking at the chart and I didn’t think it really mattered and would be a fun question. I’m departing Santa Barbara in a bit but it’s VFR. I’m going to plug it in anyway and see what the gtn says

    Flying into KPSP

In the Turbo Bos I go to Palm Springs 17500 both ways. Try to spend 0 time in Banning pass and as few minutes as possible between the tops of the mountains and the ground, around the Coachella valley, without breaking anything. Especially this time of year. In normally aspirating planes I go...

Dodge Ball is a tool of oppression....

In high school I got cut from the high school football team. I was really stubborn about it and ended up practicing with the team during the season and being the water boy during the games. I got made fun, in fact, I still do. But boy did I get in shape and develop a really strange but useful...

Dodge Ball is a tool of oppression....

I coach high schoolers and they got on a rant about me being a millennial and told the kids that I identified as something else, not a millennial. One of the kids spoke up “I don’t know coach, that sounds pretty millennial to me”.
