I've seen that problem before. It is not the content of my site, but that some filters won't allow access to my host.

MS Access database on 64-bit Vista

I have Vista and installed Office Pro 2007 as part of my initial setup. I later installed an old app which accessed an Access 2001 db on an XP machine. No problem. What I am saying is that maybe installing Office 2007 first put in a layer that allows the access to the old DB.

    "Ripping" DVDs

For my money, uLead's Video Studio. Not free (~$70), but it will do everything I am seeing here and much much more. Read in dvd and create .mpg files of each included title on your PC. Has the most useful, useable video editor I have seen. For rolling your own, has 3 audio sound tracks each...

Where should I fly in the South?

In our BTDT list: (from your pix) Devil's Tower, Badlands and Rushmore. (From the suggestions) Vicksburg-Nice place for sightseeing. Natchez offers more, but the FBO is not helpful with rooms and rental car. Probably worth the effort to make your own reservations just to spend a day there. Petit...

Do you care about the MCDBA?

Having it is nice (I never did), But ..... The certified DBAs I had to work with before I retired always seemes to beleive that normalization rules were writ on stone tablets and brought down from the holy mount. I always designed for the intended uses of the data, then applied those parts...

Ode to Kent, Kate, Pete, Jamie and other cheeseheads

Laugh all you want, but the coldest I've ever been was at Eglin AFB winter of '62-'63. It got to -2 at Pensacola. No building has anything near adequate heat for that temperature. No one has a stock of adequate clothing for that temperature. The only place you could get warm was in a car with...

Pressure Adusted Altimeter Readings -vs- GPS Altimeter Readings

The GPS was absolutely correct within its margin of error. The difference at altitude was due to the change in barometric pressure not being standard lapse and not linear. The agreement on the ground was because both instruments were using the same base (field elevation). We fly by the...

    Vertical Compass Card

We installed the PAI unit 8/07. We just love it! After getting the compensation done, we found that it had little error all the way around (<3 degrees on any point). It is also much more stable than the wet units, deviating far less during accelleration, decelleration, climbs and turns than...

    [NA]burning DVD help[NA]

WHere did the clips come from. If they are downloaded from your video camera, that would be normal. The download process saves each clip from the camera as a separate file even though the camera will play them end to end in preview mode. For this purpose, a "clip" is what was recorded between...
