    Looking for cheap Motorcycle

I like it. But like the others have said, it's a little big. However, I've seen people buy them and do really well right off the bat (especially the big guys). I took the MSF ridercourse before I started riding. I made sure I had good tires on my bike, an 86 Radian. The bike was given to me...

Better get your waste oil lined up now. All the restaurants in my town are now spoken for!:hairraise:

    Looking for cheap Motorcycle

I fix up a few old motorcycles; here are some of my favorites: Yamaha Radian 600 - fast and halfway between a cruiser and sportbike Honda V45 or V65 magna - liquid cooled, shaft drive, quick, cheap Honda nighthawk or just plain old CB750 four cyl. - often under $1000 CL450 scrambler - a...

    Unleaded price passes 100LL

By the way, it's not the same as biodiesel. I tried small cars for awhile but only got mileage in the high 20s, and the diesel (in a full sized GMC or Suburban) will get 27 mpg. I decided not to sacrifice my family's safety...

    Unleaded price passes 100LL

Yes, it will run on waste oil, fryer oil, mazola, or whatever. But don't go dumping it in your new $40,000 pickup. There are a few mods needed. The old mechanically-injected engines are the easiest.

    Unleaded price passes 100LL

We have our first (of the season anyway) over $3.00 prices here in Michigan for regular. I expect much higher this summer. Our aircraft fuel is about $3.60 right now. But it only changes when the FBO gets a delivery. The diesel has one tank full of diesel fuel, and a tank of vegetable oil so...

Remove the airbox first. Then loosen the clamps and wiggle the rack of carbs off the rubber boots. Make sure the bike is on the centerstand! Learned this the hard way. By the way, the bike won't run right without the airbox. I learned this the hard way, too.

Try a Kawasaki Z400 or KZ400. They are awesome. Built in Lincoln, Nebraska too. The pistons move in unison and fire on alternate strokes. I just got an '86 Radian for nothing. Spent a few bucks on it but it was well worth it. It's an inline four and runs smooth as glass. Don't worry about the...

It's going to be a long, hot summer.... sigh.

$70? Think it'll stay that low? I have $4 a gallon in our work fuel price pool. But I'm not selling the plane.:D

Wow, look at the BMW V-8 bike in this month's issue of MotorCyclist mag. (I fix up old bikes but no BMW yet!)

    FBO Closing!

Your rep will have access to additional info on this (or you can PM me). There's self-serve at 77G (Marlette) if you're out that way and it's late.

    FBO Closing!

Do you have an ASN representative for your airport? They will have a copy of the MDOT grant assurances and can work with AOPA (John Collins) to interpret what is going on at PHN. I have a copy of ours but they are confusing so I leave it to the experts. As I recall there is a provision for the...

Flying car crashes on Detroit airport runway

That's just TV news. You see the same thing in Denver, Salt Lake and other big cities if you watch enough news. Here in the suburb it's big news when they put up a new traffic light. I found that my stress level went down when my TV antenna blew down in a storm. I never fixed it.

The good old days - humor

Mine still does. Among other things, fast food every day gets expensive.

    A models

We love our 1958 172-A. My 16-year old soloed it last year, and the 15-year old will be next, in about 8 months. Sometimes I even get the keys:D

Before they were at Longmont they were at FNL. Divers, trainers, and airline traffic... it was an interesting place to learn to fly.

    Truck stops and pilot lounges

If my airplane pulled into a truck stop it would be the equivalent of a 1950s cabover with 1 drive axle. The condos on the new Western Stars would be bigger than my entire trailer!
