    ForeFlight 10.2

I wrote on four - ForeFlight, FlyQ, Garmin Pilot, and FltPlan Go. IMHO WingX is legacy. I know there are other, but I think it’s a four horse race. And it’s likely to change at some point.

    ForeFlight 10.2

It’s tough. I have taught classes before on all four apps, and with all the changes each is doing, its hard to stay proficient, and any document you would spend more time than you could imagine keeping it current. Each has its own set of considerations. For me it comes down to what you really...

For Sale OSH Sale - $75 off Icebox Full System & $100 off Switchbox 2G

I have an icebox and need the plug that goes into the top of the cooler from the icebox unit. Broke the barrel when it was plugged in loading in the back of the plane yesterday. Will you sell/ship me just one of those? Looks like it just pushes onto the cable.

Where can I find what to learn for IFR flight?

I also bought the King course. That is excellent too. I did great on my exam and really helped me prepare for the checkride.

    ForeFlight 10.2

Congrats to FF. They have successfully managed to put more features in higher subscription plans and drive up the base user fee. For IFR guys it went from $149 to $199. No thanks. Charts are fee with Fltplan Go and FlyQ is dirt cheap. Garmin pilot price hasn't moved. S So long, FF.

    Need advice

Since you asked, a member of the family is a C-level exec for a large P/C insurance company with advanced education in the field. And 33 years in the business to be specific. I just showed this to him and his reaction was priceless. We have a plaintiff lawyer here bashing insurance companies...

Pilawt, Where do you get this stuff from? Please back-up everything you just said. Give us stats where carriers aren't paying liability claims. Show me the state statues where you can't collect fees. This nothing more than innuendo, speculation, and alternative facts. Carriers ROUTINELY pay...

    737 runway excursion in Turkey

Apparently one, if not two, of the left rear mains locked. You can see skid marks. That is was steered it left. I bet the plane is totaled. Unreal it didn't fall further. Very glad no one was injured seriously or killed. Parts sales starts Monday.

This is pretty clear. 1. The person who was responsible for the container has liability insurance, therefore, they are responsible for the damages. There is negligence and there is likely no exclusion the ins carrier can hide behind. Their insured screwed up, and that is why we carry liability...

Shock cooling - and related damage. is it a myth?

Specifically attributed to shock cooling? If so, curious how this was proven and who determine it as the root cause.

Shock cooling - and related damage. is it a myth?

Loads of info over on BT and they are declare this total myth. And lots of information supporting the conclusion. Go fly your plane - plenty other things need your attention over this topic.

    weighing a plane

This author will never touch any aircraft I work on or fly. Period. End of discussion. Just like a torque wrench - Calibrated regularly or do not use. This is not go-kart racing - this is aviation where mistakes from cutting corners here is what kills people. Scales and good torque wrenches...

NA Chevy beats Ford in total truck sales 2017

We can point flaws in all directions. Ford's Triton motors were classic for blowing and cracking spark plugs. GM has laid a couple golden eggs with engines and transmissions too. Google it and you'll see more than you can read and comprehend. 1. GM - Mexican built V8's. Hope you got Government...
