    Foam rubber blocks

I need a chunk of ‘hard’ foam rubber, ~ 16” x 4” x 2” to jamb between two seats so’s stuff won’t fall between them. It has to be something I can cut to fit the shape; knife/hotwire etc Where to get that?

    [NA] Auto insurance

When requesting a quote, what info should be included or excluded? I modified the pdf of the upcoming renewal, to include only the coverages and premium pages. I cleared the premiums and the broker info. It includes all details about drivers and addresses, they will get our SSN and DL#. It...

    Bose repairs

What is the situation on Bose headset repairs, 8? yo A20’s, just want them gone through, cleaned up, tested, one may not be anc-ing properly. The website offers no details on options or pricing. When searching, non-oem repair sites popped up, they any good?

    Egregious FBO charges

See this constantly. Once an fbo/airport governance gets a taste of that jet money, they want the little guy to go away. The free market forces (which I normally encourage and promote) in action at an airport, favors the wealthy.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Is it possible the 350 has damage way inboard of the wingtip - ie at the attachment? Does it happen like this; the force applied to the tip can be inferred from known speed/location of damage to tip/extent of damage to tip then calculations made to find the effects on the rest of the wing?

Jump starting a 'plane with a battery pack

I like the idea. That is a lot of lithium to carry around. The first thing I’d assess is ‘how often do these melt down’ (catch fire) and under what circumstances? Are there containment bags for it, can I get it out of the airplane quickly if needed? Maybe this concern is for older models, I...

    Emerging from the woods

(off the topic of fly-ins; ) Things you might raise an eyebrow at, moving from the 45s to the 30s: -when there is frozen precip on the ground (it will happen even in the DFW area), or even the mention of it coming...much of those parts of Texas will pretty much shut down. And with good reason...

Voepass Flight 2283, a large passenger plane, crashes in Vinhedo, Brazil

I need everything dumbed down, can someone abbreviate this event to a useable summary (if enough information is currently available)? Something like (I have no idea if this applies) "Failed to turn on anti-ice/de-ice in the presence of abundant warnings". I realize not all things are so simple...

    [NA] Auto insurance

Despite being an ideal customer, my auto insurance renewal quote is going from high to very high. My broker said he would shop it. What companies would a broker not normally shop? Not particularly interested in Geico but I think they fall in this category and I provide it only as an example.

    Egregious FBO charges

I have often pondered this; should airports be providers of a service to their communities or should they be a business opportunity, a source of revenue to the governing body?

    Accidents by type review:

@wanttaja I think this site (below) provides a decent world-wide review of accidents by type. I want to review the Daher Kodiak100(1) & compare it to the average, and probably some other specific types. Overall, I think it looks like a pretty safe aircraft. If you only use it on land, remove all...

Triple 4, double charlie - does it annoy you?

Hearing it doesn't seem to bother me, if anyone I fault the person requesting silly registration characters. "November xxx Echo Echo" - well, it was funny the first thousand times.
