Anyone got a pirep on these guys? I'm buying, not selling.

Thanks,

C.
They sold me a plane with a bad engine. Will do nothing to help out with the $30k to fix it ! Buyer beware !

Which airplane did you buy? Sorry to hear that!

One cylinder was lower than the rest . I was assured nothing to worry about.

Said they’re not responsible since they didn’t own the plane
I mistakenly thought if you bought a lemon through a reputable company they would help with this kind of situation.

Wouldn’t even spend a dime of their commission

Maybe it's just me, but if I saw a Rotax 912 with any cylinder more than a PSI or two off of perfect, I'd really want to understand the cause. Ours is at 1K hours, uses maybe half a pint or so of oil in 100 hours (and I'm pretty sure that's all leaked, not burned) and have never had a cylinder score any worse than 79/80, every year.

Sorry you got screwed on the deal. I'm sure there is a written agreement between you and the broker spelling out exactly what they do and don't do/cover/pay for; if you didn't read that or expected them to do anything they didn't agree to do in writing... well... every lesson learned carries a tuition payment.

They sold my 172G late in the peak market during Covid and got top dollar. They did an inspection before listing it and called me to say a cylinder was not making spec. I sent them a new jug I had on the shelf and they installed it for a very reasonable cost. I'm due east of them about 100 NMs and they came and flew the bird away. At least as a seller they (Mark and Pat??) were great to deal with.

Another friend traded his 152 for a 182 and after getting past a few initial gremlins has been flying and upgrading it quite a bit with excellent results. Caveat emptor and all that.

I just bought a plane brokered by them last week. I had a good experience overall, and I would consider buying from them again. Everything from the pre-buy to the delivery of my aircraft was really easy to set up.

Define lower than the rest. When did you buy it? When did you find out it needs work? What exactly is wrong with it? They're a broker and it sounds like you used the brokers a&p for the pre buy?

I bought my Ovation 3 from them in May. I did not have their shop in Anderson do the pre buy ( as they had done the last few annuals) but I did have them fix a couple of minor squawks. Nothing but a positive experience at IndyAir. At the end of the day, you, as the buyer are responsible for getting your potential purchase inspected, not the broker.

I would buy from them again.
