Why does POA call it a PPL, when it is a Certificate?

One gets a "license" to do things. Saying James Bond has "a certificate to kill" doesn't have the same feel to it.

Today I read a real estate form with a line for the professional doing the document to enter their (LICENCE, CERTIFICATE, PERMIT, REGISTRATION) and their name.
For the document, all those terms are synonymous.

But a good pilot is also alway a student of aviation. I guess there wasn't a good word for that, so we're stuck with Learner.A good pilot is always learning and now students are called learners so maybe POA is ahead of the curve ...

When I received my certificate, many moons age, I was a student pilot but not a learner ...
