I am standing on Clingman’s Dome and currently in IMC conditions. Can I log it?

It’s a joke FAA, it’s a joke.

You guys need to cut it out, you're barking up the wrong tree ...

Oh my goodness. Just leaf it alone!! Otherwise this could branch out and get really punny. Restraint, guys. Maintain at least a veneer of propriety. I’m rooting for you.

Another "can I log it thread".

It's certainly an evergreen question.

I’m curious about currency. How did you log approaches, holds, and tracking?

Yes, if you want to log standing on the ground in IMC, you can do that. Record date, Flight time = 0, PIC= 0, Day = 0 aircraft type = 0, landings/takesoffs = 0 instrument time = 0, remarks - standing on ground in cloud.

You forgot Aircraft Type - Merell.

That's a pretty area. We took this pic a few years ago near Clingman’s Dome. They were only 30 or 40 feet from the car.

These pictures are from about 5 years ago. We were there again last Nov but I don't think I took any pictures?
