Name my dog

Dog

(stolen from a John Wayne movie, admittedly a western - but the aviation relation could be whatever aircraft you consider to be a dog)
Mine will actually listen to "dog". Her name is actually Zia for the Zia Pueblo of New Mexico.

So...does the family have a favorite vacation spot you could tie into?

I have nothing for you when it comes to names. I'm terrible at that. Anything that needed a name (our pets, our companies, etc.), my wife came up with the names. However, wanted to drop a note to say congrats! He's a beautiful boy. Dogs are the better humans. Glad he found a great home :)

I checked the jim k youtube channel but don't see any vids yet

Norwegian, you could go with Odin or another Norse god. Does he have a Loki personality?

I don’t recommend anything aviation related because the dog could get paranoid or narcissistic if he thinks you’re talking about him all the time.

Had a neighbor that owned probably the most stupid dog I'd ever seen. Ended up naming it DumbA**..... Took some of the neighbors a while to realize he was calling the dog and not yelling at them....

Cheeseburger. Cause e’rbody likes a good cheeseburger.

Starting to seem like it. He managed to escape from his kennel while we were at church this morning  We went to breakfast and Teresa noticed it on the ring camera, so we rushed home to find him laying in the shade in the back yard.

We threw the straw in when we burned the ballots this morning. We settled on "Tango". I did all my training in N4149T, so there's the aviation connection, but it's not totally in your face.

He's 11mo., so hopefully he'll get a little bigger. Average is something like 50 lbs, although our last one hit 100.

more pix pls

Looks like a beautiful dog and addition to the family. Welcome home Tango!!

When he chews through the kennel, opens the house door. Opens both doors on the detached garage. Then goes to your neighbor/dad's house and opens the garage door then mudroom door there looking for you. Then you know you've got a friend....or a stalker.

That's impressive lol

He ain’t nuthin’ but a hound dog

My take on that would be pronounced Dee-Oh-Gee ...
One of my neighbors had a dog named that.

Another friend's dog was Boeing (even after he switched to flying the Airbus).

One friend named her dog Jeppesen. He was later renamed the "Chicken Hound" because he was mortally afraid of flying.

Poindexter

Oh, too many syllables....Dexter?

My wife is on the way home with a dog. Male Norwegian Elkhound. Said dog needs a name. I suggested "Eman1200", but Teresa says no. Her suggestion was "Malcom"(Reynolds). I also suggested "Archer", which the 11 year old really likes. The oldest suggested "Doc" which is my favorite so far, and the nine year old is really set on "Boeing" for some reason.

Name must be no more than two syllables and yellable. Bonus points for aviation-tangent names. Not doing "Cessna", "Beech", or "Mooney". "Piper" feels too girly.

Puppers in question:

Archer is a good name, it's also already in use by this guy. Glad we avoided the conflict :D

Glad he’s willing to visit the kids in their enclosure.

Don't know about dogs, but the local airport had two cats, one named FSDO and the other Taildragger.
