Zulu time on Apple Watch

On my new Apple Watch, I’d like to display the 24 hour zulu time, as a “complication,” in the corner of the “Simple” watchface. So far I’ve only tried the “ZuluTime” app, but it only shows 12 hours without minutes, as in the attached photo (lower left corner shows 11Z instead of 23:42Z)

With the exception of a few :30 and :45 minute timezone offsets, no matter where you go, the minutes value will be the same. In your example the time is 23:09:30Z, no?

Hmm, somehow I inadvertently posted a stock photo instead of the photo of my actual watch.

Anyway, my watch often shows a 12-hour zulu time instead of a 24-hour time as in the stock photo.

Not an apple dude, but the first result for "ZuluTime app 24 hour setting" with Google reveals this result:

"...in order to see UTC or “Zulu” time in 24 hour time mode, you have to switch the entire clock to 24 hour mode."

There’s a World Clock complication that you can set to UTC. I’ve got a “travel” face that I use along with some other stuff that’s at least amusing, if not helpful when I’m traveling.

As others have said, you can add the world clock as a complication, and select London time as that’s “close” UTC. Then change the LON symbol to UTC in the world clock. It works for me save for those really odd partial zones.

I also remember seeing something about a Meridian face for the Series 5 watch and I believe that had GMT as a complication.

Thanks all. Now I'm good, with UTC showing in the corner of the watch face, in 24 hour digital format, including minutes. Just what I needed.

For anyone who needs to do it, here are complete instructions:
- On my watch, I pressed the watch face to "customize" the it; I clicked the desired corner and used the crown to select the World Clock complication, with UTC.
- On my iPhone app for the watch, I scrolled down to "Clock" and toggled the 24 hour setting to the green position.

Oddly enough, I learned last summer that London is not, in fact, GMT. I tried to use my UTC world clock, thinking that my hotel was 10 miles from Greenwich, so GMT should work. Unfortunately, Britain ruined that with Daylight Savings Time.

The United Kingdom is not on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) all year. During Daylight Saving Time (DST) the correct time zone is British Summer Time (BST).

I use a cheap "CX Swiss Military" with a 24 hour hand and rotating 24 hour bezel for UTC at a glance.

Yes; during the winter months the UK is on GMT, but during the summer months it switches to BST (British Summer Time) which is Daylight Savings Time.

Now yes, but they will no longer match after the last Sunday of March.

Yes, like Daylight Savings Time in the US. When it’s in effect, instead of GMT they use BST (British Summer Time).
