Zofran due to migraines - special issuance possible?

I have a friend that wants to fly with me on a kind of discovery flight, with the possibility of pursuing her pilot's license as a hobby like me. Unfortunately, she made an off hand comment tonight that she occasionally takes zofran to manage nausea after a migraine. From what I can tell, this is on the "do not issue" list. But when I Google it, I get some hits that indicate a special issuance might be possible, and SIs are possible with migraines, but I'm not sure about the combination, nor about occasional use vs daily use. I know getting her to do an AME consult before trying for a Class 3 is the official, proper answer and when/if it comes up, that's what I'll tell her. But I was hoping for some more direct answers/experiences with this. Anyone know if it's possible?

There’s always sport pilot if they have a driver’s license and no denial on the books.

Hmm.... Zofran itself, an anti-emtetic (anti nausea) drug has no sedative properties like most other more traditional anti emetics. I would think the migraine issue may require an SI but I would not think that Zofran should be an issue. However, I am not King of the FAA so my opinion means nought. Definitely something to investigate with a knowledgeable AME prior to filling out a Med Express questionnaire.
