What file format does it give you? This may be one reason to have Firefox as a side tool.

Strange works for me. Then go to the main Firefox site and get into the add ons section and look for VideoDownloader.

If you want to download youtube vids, google: download youtube.
Your second hit will be the "Techcrunch youtube download tool"
This will allow you to download the flash format video file. It will not have an extension when it downloads, so add .flv to the "get video" file.
Now google Cinemaforge. Then install it, and convert from Flash video to Windows media or whatever.
