This the picture thread for non-owners to post their rentals. The owner picture thread is nice but I feel left out.

Owners (at least most I think) used to rent too, you know :)

I think this may actually be me flying. There are other pictures of me with it at 6Y9, Gastons, etc.

Here's the Bonanza I took to 6Y9 last year.

N4962H, a C-152 flown to 5S2, Crescent Lake State, Oregon. Don't have any photos of the C-172s I've rented. No loss - when you've seen one Cessna you've seen them all.

Soloed the champ last year. Haven't been able to fly it much as I'm about to wrap up the instrument rating. Plan on getting more hours in it building toward the commercial

Here's a C-172 I rent from Van Anda Aviation out of Orlando Apopka. The young man is my nephew, Gabe. He's posing after his first GA flight.

First airplane I ever rented, first GA airplane ride. Ever. Over ten or eleven years ago. Contrary to the popular belief, I'm of a legal drinking age in that photo.
Few months later the bird was destroyed by a solo student departure stall. He was ok, the plane was consumed by the post-crash fire.

One of the 172's I flew for my PP training

One of the DA20's I flew for PP finish-up. Ton of fun in those! Picture taken while giving my better half her second or third ride, and first time in formation.

The mighty Arrow II I got my commercial in.

In early training I wanted to take some photos of the instrument panel and pin it on my cubicle wall, the intent being to "mentally practice" various procedures.

It helped - and it still does now.

One of the C172 type N I trained in and occasionally rent.

I'll try to get some photos of the C162 Skycatcher and the C172S (from 2000 with "steam gauges") this week.

Wow!!

For an "N" model, that's in excellent shape!

(you should see the trash haulers they have here for N's :()

Here are two of the 172's I rent.

172N, looks not so good, flies well.

Usual ride attached - Oh hey, VanDy, doesn't it look familiar? :p

The past couple of times I've been in 691SP. I prefer 88JA, she's in a little bit better shape, but they're both respectable enough!

That darn 691SP got in my way the other night. Turns out it is just Vandy rattling my tree

Flew this one yesterday. Unusual color. The club has a 182 in similar paint that I will get checked out in on the 6th.

I occasionally rent this one for Instrument currency/taking people for rides:

This would be a good thread about "Spot the Squawks". C & P seems to dominate the rental market. Its always refreshing to see other manuf. out there for rental. I like diamonds and a few LSA's sprinkled in there. Its sad that rental market isn't updating with the times :/ some are even making 25K/yr on top of costs...5-6 years would be enough to buy a 10 y/o SR20. Oh well...here's to AOPA's Flying club initiative, hopefully new clubs and co-ops and attract cleaner aircraft than the flying coffins I'm used to renting.

Dave,

I agree with you but I can't afford thsoe rates on the newer aircraft. I put a link below that will take you to the aircraft listing of a local club I used to belong to. Check out the rates. A lot of us can't do it in the current economy.

Holy cow, nice N model. That panel is cleannnn. The M models at my school are markedly...weathered. :D

I started with this plane, man I miss the G1000 panel...
